While at REEF, I have worked in agile scrum teams to design end-to-end user experiences. With support from the technical team, I have aided in the deployment of our e-commerce, mobile parking, and enterprise products. I create supporting documentation such as sitemaps, user flows, personas, user testing plans and more- to guide the design thinking process within scrum teams. Creating and leading presentations/workshops has become second nature, due to the need to externalize our processes and work throughout the company.

My position as Communication Associate meant my daily tasks consisted of sending emails and communicating with clients about the status of their pets. I created fun report cards for every guest summarizing their stay and their behavior. I would monitor and manage all social media platforms and respond to the proud dog moms and dads. I developed innovative and unique digital content like silly and entertaining videos for our Vimeo and Instagram. In order to track the progress of my content, I would review insights and analytics from Facebook and Twitter. Although I am no professional photographer, I pride myself on the fact that I can catch some great angles on our furry friends, and many of my photos were used in corporate marketing materials. Overall I worked tirelessly and excitedly to collaborate with the entirety of the staff to create fun and exciting new content for the various social media platforms.

Interning in the Press Office made for an interesting and educational experience. Responding to calls from emotional reporters definitely proved to be a challenge and was a lesson in approaching unpredictable situations carefully. I aided in the writing and editing of press releases and Facebook posts; writing copy for a polished and professional government organization such as this one taught me to dig deep and write from a POV that I was not accustomed to at that time.

Similar to Spazio Healthy, my responsibilities included preparing fresh smoothies and cleaning the store. I assisted in closing and opening duties as well as built upon my interpersonal skills the more that I spoke with customers. This was another quick, fast-paced environment that I adjusted to instantly due to my past experience in the area.

My responsibilities included preparing fresh smoothies for customers and starting up the frozen yogurt machines in the morning. I would also assist in closing up the store and cleaning everything and preparing everything for the next day. This job had nothing to do with what I am pursuing now, but it definitely allowed me to grow. It was my first job, a summer job at that. I enjoyed learning conversation skills and working in a quick paced environment, usually working alone during busy hours. I would also aid in translation as the owners were not fluent in english.
