Prior to this I spent a decade in practise as a solicitor specialising in contentious insolvency. I am recognised in the Legal 500 as a Rising Star in the field of insolvency and corporate recovery, as well as a Key Lawyer in the field of commercial litigation.

I am also experienced in dealing with injunctions, petitions and statutory demands, and frequently represented clients at hearings of these.Within the commercial litigation team, I dealt mainly with defences and counterclaims, but also issued proceedings. Cases included construction, partnership/shareholder, property/landlord and tenant, telecommunications, and some intellectual property disputes. I was also responsible for the running of money claims from the debt recovery team from defence to trial.I appeared in both County Courts and High Courts across the country, dealing with cases from pre-issue through to conclusion: whether that be a full trial or a settlement through mediation or other means.I spent the majority of my first year of training in the firm's employment department, and continued to work closely with the employment team in relation to claims for breach of restrictive covenant and negligent references.
