- Led a team of 25 students through their first competition in 3 years, successfully passing technical inspections and participating to the endurance event- Designed and built a 7kWh 420V battery pack. Thermal modelization, electrical modeling, cell selection, and integrated fusible links design.→ 10% gravimetric & 44% volumetric energy density improvement over previous iteration- Integrated custom electric motors to the car. Includes stator winding and rotor fabrication.- Designed and built a 30kWh electric motor test bench (dynamometer) for tuning of the motor drive + validation of drivetrain. → Allowed team to have an AWD car in competition for the 1st time in 7 years- Developed data analysis tools with MATLAB to decode CAN bus data. Solved EMI issues that affected critical systems of the car, making the AWD car drivable.→ 64% faster acceleration to 60kph (2.25sec) compared to the previous vehicle.
