https://drivenets.com/Working for DriveNets, a company who aims to reshape the network industry by focusing more on software and decoupling the traditional hardware-software bundle architecture, by allowing clients to buy their own whiteboxes from whatever vendor they want and separately buy and install the DriveNets software.Features I've worked on:- BGP policy chains: Allows chaining multiple policies for evaluation. If you don't get a match on a policy, it continues evaluating the other policies in the chain until a match is found and a decision taken. This allows reusing policies via composition. If for instance you'd have a policy A and you'd need a policy B which is actually policy A + some custom rules, you can create a chain containing policy A and a separate policy which contains the custom rules. As such, if you ever have to update something about policy A, all the chains using that policy will actually inherit the change as well, instead of going through all the different policies you have and updating them one by one.- OSPF stub & NSSA areas: Allows configuring areas that either do not allow redistributed routes to enter that area (in case of stub) or that allows only exporting such routes (NSSA). This also takes ABR functionality into consideration - translation of Type 7 LSAs to Type 5 LSAs, totally stub & totally NSSA configuration, NSSA ABR translator election / stability interval / advertisment preference of equivalent Type 7 LSAs and so on.- SR policy protection groups: Allows configuration of multiple candidate paths and defines active-backup path pairs.- DCSPF: Allows configuration of dynamic paths for SR-TE policies, allowing users to define the paths by the desired constraints the path should obey rather than describing the path by hops.

Working for Microsoft (as Metaswitch was bought by them)- Integrated a new routing stack in Microsoft’s SONiC (https://github.com/Azure/SONiC) open-source NOS project instead of the existing FRR solution- Worked over SONiC sub-projects such as sonic-swss (https://github.com/Azure/sonic-swss) and sonic-sairedis (https://github.com/Azure/sonic-sairedis) in order to support the new features and routing stack- Redesigned and implemented SONiC’s NH architecture (https://github.com/Azure/SONiC/pull/796) and Class Based Forwarding (https://github.com/Azure/SONiC/pull/796) (a Traffic Engineering solution)- Developed a Linux-based software switch for in-house testing supporting basic MPLS and IP(v4/v6) traffic and Class Based Forwarding (IP only) (programming via Netlink / Netfilter)

Developed a Content-Aware Automatic Cropping solution in C++ using Computer Vision concepts. The proposed usage is for users who want to crop a window of a specific aspect ratio from a given image. Usually the crop will contain the subject centered in the cropped image, but users have to do this by hand. The Content-Aware Automatic Crop helps the user by deciding on what the subject of the image is and cropping it for the user, leaving the user's job to be just to manually adjust/center the cropped window.The solution determines the subject of the image by analyzing a set of key charasteristics that subjects usually share and combines the analysis result of the each characteristic into a score, based on which the position of the subject is determined. Compared to traditional Machine Learning algorithms, this gives the benefit of being small sized and fast.Technologies used: C++, OpenCV, Git
