Facilitate programs and education outreach for the state of Montana. Work with a wide variety of organizations and volunteers to help educate people 50+ as well as their adult children about such things as public benefits, fraud, medicare and related issues, retirement planning, social security, etc. Provide outreach to 7 Indian reservations in Montana as well as working with the Tribal health Directors and the Montana Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council to identify ways to work with Indian Leaders to promote improved quality of life for their elders.

I worked with city planners, architects and developers in helping to design properties that discouraged crime. I also was an expert witness in many cases and designed a Community Police Substation as well as worked with other security professionals who were designing security policies and procedures.

I began as an enlisted boat crew petty officer. I spent 5 years qualifying and working on a 41 foot Utility Boat doing Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue in Puget Sound. My first period of active duty was on a boat crew providing security for the first Trident Submarine that entered Puget Sound. I received a Direct Commission in 1986 and spent the rest of my tour as an Operations officer for a reserve boat unit, a watchstander in the 13th District Command Center, as a team leader and Command Duty Officer for the Marine Safety Office (Puget Sound), and finally as the Reserve District Public Affairs Officer. I retired in 1998.

I was an enlisted Marine from 1964-1968. I attended Boot Camp in San Diego, Infantry Training at Camp Pendleton and Basic Electronics, Radio Fundamentals and Aviation Radio Repair schools in San Diego. I was stationed at El Tora Marine Air Station where I worked on Jeep and truck mounted single sideband radios. I was transfered to the Helicopter Landing Field at Camp Pendleton where I worked on tower radios and emergency vehicle radios (crash trucks and ambulance). I received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1968.

My Master's Thesis was a comparison of attitude changes in Junior High students at Odle Junior High (experimental school) and Tillicum.
