I joined HealthVault.com, assuming the responsibility for its architecture.My work focused on the performance, scalability and robustness of HealthVault.A major accomplishment relates to the HealthVault query capability against ever larger corpus of XML documents. The query engine latency was shortened by x100, while it the index size was shrank by x10.Other areas of focus included planning the disaster-recovery and service-continuity of HealthVault, as-well-as redesigning infrastructure aspects of other Big-Data projects.In 2009 I also contributed the Microsoft Surface NG system architecture, focusing on its security, hack resilience, and multi-touch subsystem.We evaluated numerous alternative technologies for the Surface NG multi-touch subsystem. The outcome of this research was an innovative project developing a novel large area touch technology.
