As an EMT, I responded to emergency calls, provided first aid, and performed life saving measures for patients. I obtained my National Registry EMT certification in October 2023, after completing a rigorous course and exam.Before that, I worked as a police officer for two and a half years, where I enforced laws, conducted patrols, investigated crimes, and interacted with the public. I created unique ways of engaging with the community, such as visiting local dog parks, attending neighborhood meetings, and volunteering at local events. I also acquired and maintained many skills and certifications, such as firearms, CPR, and defensive tactics.I graduated from West Virginia University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in criminology. I chose this field of study because I have a passion for justice and public service. I learned about the causes, consequences, and prevention of crime, as well as the legal and social systems that deal with it. I also developed critical thinking, research, and communication skills that are essential for my career.I started my career in the aquatics industry, where I worked as a lifeguard experience manager for Continental Pools. I organized recruiting events, conducted administrative work, and trained personnel with the Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Program. I also earned my lifeguard instructor certification in May 2022, which enabled me to teach and certify other lifeguards.
