Bar work has proved to be highly rewarding and entertaining due to the frenetic, fast paced nature of bar work. During my time at the Students Union Bar, I have learnt how to pour draught beverages, became Barista trained and also operated several coffee machine variants.I have also increased my capacity to work within a team due to the focus on each person on shift needing to fulfil duties to help other members of staff achieve their duties such as working closely alongside the catering staff when taking food orders and implementing correct cleaning procedures.
