Over the course of my internship with the fitness-tech company, ShapeLog, I learned the importance of autonomous work in the midst of a busy, startup setting. My list of tasks helped me learn and hone valuable skills in the realms of digital media marketing and content production. I implemented my PR background by investigating and creating company leads, interviewing key members of the fitness community for feature stories on the company blog. Furthermore, I practiced previously learned tools such as Hootsuite, Indesign and Canva to create content for social media channels, then distributed that content on a scheduled basis. To measure my success throughout the internship, I taught myself Google Analytics, passing all required certifications. With this tool I was able to view ways in which I was benefiting the company, and made predictions as to how I could better serve their needs. My internship with ShapeLog gave me invaluable experience that will follow me wherever I go.
