About Ali Khalyat
Career Ali Khalyat’s culinary career began early on, inspired by his passionate Moroccan parents and their love and respect for quality and tradition. Knowing that Moroccan cuisine is influenced by Morocco's interactions and exchanges with other cultures and nations over the centuries. Moroccan cuisine is typically a mix of Berber, Arabic, Andalusian, Jewish, French and Mediterranean cuisines with slight sub-Saharan influences. After graduating from the National School of Administration at age 22, Khalyat sought opportunities to further hone his own creativity. Watching his mother spontaneous cooking was fascinating, she would find whatever was around and turn it into something beyond delicious. He always wanted to be involved. He decided to follow his passion and venture the world of creativity. EntrepreneurMr.Khalyat opened two successful Restaurants “Jesse’s Place Restaurant” and “Emilou’s Café/Restaurant” from the year of 1997 to 2008, both restaurants had menus full of unique and intriguing flavors. He was able to introduce even the oldest recipes with his personal touch that made them deliciously unique. In 2008, after an 11 year run Mr.Khalyat and his partners decided to sell the spaces.RecognitionAli has been recognized with several culinary awards for his cooking aptitude. He conducted training and seminars for several luxury hotels like, The View Hotel Riad – Rabat, La Mamounia- Marrakech. He collaborated with a world renowned chef Moha in Marrakech, Morocco. Chef Ali's cooking style is innovative and exotic, and explores modern variations of Mediterranean cuisine.
