Responsibilities include; Responsible for all Business Operations at the college. Second in command to the Vice President of Finance and Advancement for all financial activity and special projects as assigned. Directs, manages, and holds accountable the Bursar’s office, accounting department, purchasing, contracts, assets, payroll, accounts payable and all unit support staff. Manages and/or prepares all bid and contract documents, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs). Resolves contractual issues or problems with vendors on behalf of user departments and project teams. Clarifies and resolves interpretation differences of contract performance issues, terms, conditions, and to ensure compliance with TBR policy. Provides formal and informal training to user departments to facilitate effective use of systems and compliance with TBR purchasing and contracts programs and policies.

In my free time I channeled my organizational skills and love of planning to start my own event planning business with my husband. Over 7 years, we planned and executed over 140 successful events. We specialized mostly in weddings but coordinated other events as well. Responsibilities included; working with clients to plan and coordinate their event, reviewing and following up on all vendor contracts, maintaining a professional and calming demeanor under stressful situations, scheduling staff and ensuring the overall execution of these events from beginning to end.
