I am a NOAA CCME-II Graduate Scholar and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), where I pursue a Master of Arts in Disaster Studies. This program aligns with my diverse academic interests, which span environmental, social, legal, and psychological fields of study, and allows me to explore subjects crucial for understanding and addressing environmental and societal challenges. My passion for research was ignited when I worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Multicultural Clinical Lab at UTRGV, where I co-authored a manuscript on the psychological health symptoms of DACA recipients and conducted literary and legal research on DACA-related cases. I also served as a student academic tutor in psychology, where I enhanced student learning by organizing workshops, creating materials, and providing individualized support. As a NOAA CCME-II Graduate Scholar, I look forward to contributing to groundbreaking research and collaborating with brilliant minds who share a commitment to addressing the critical issues faced by marine and coastal communities.
