· Respond quickly and efficiently to all in-coming sales enquiries, by telephone, fax and email· Preparing brochures as required· Follow up all enquiries & prepare proposals where necessary· Co-ordinating all details of orders, including stock, pricing, delivery etc· Promotion of our facilities to new and existing clients through a pro-active approach· Assisting in implementing the sales strategy/budget as set by the sales manager, and in association with the contracted representatives; including strategies for encouraging repeat business and up-selling· Ensure an efficient tracking system of all paper-work· Up-keep of a client and agents database – updating where necessary to allow effective promotions· Compilation of weekly overview sheets for budgets, proposals & queries· To liaise at all times with all team members and work as a team to reach targets set by the Sales Manager· To encourage repeat business by networking with current clients and their colleagues· To provide input and ideas into marketing initiatives and subsequently promote these initiatives and monitor responses

• Overseeing the receipt and storage of incoming items• Operating mechanical and IT systems• Overseeing the process of orders and planning the dispatching of products• Monitoring space and tracking stock levels, setting aside storage areas for new stock• Ensuring products are stocked correctly and safely (especially chemicals, adhesives, solvents etc)• Liaising with customers and other departments• Training, supervising and appraising staff• Managing statistical and financial records, from daily picking stats to profit & loss & budgets• Ensuring good quality & procurement objectives and delivery deadlines are met• Scheduling equipment maintenance and replacing when required • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
