Primary role was to develop and implement SRI’s overall growth strategy in new commercial ventures and licensing deals based on proprietary technology. Worked closely with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, technologists and the SRI teams to define and develop new business ideas.

Led the development of D4, an entrepreneurial design program at the University of Chicago offering experiential classes, workshops, and interdisciplinary team projects at every stage of the innovation process. In partnership with IIT’s Institute of Design and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, D4 (which stands for "Discover, Design, Develop, Do") was established to create an interdisciplinary approach to explore real-world problems in complex environments, derive insights, and ultimately design solutions based on identified needs.

Primarily focused on developing new programs and initiatives to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty, and professionals at the University of Chicago interested in launching projects and new ventures that can make a meaningful impact on the world. Programs and initiatives span the entire innovation process: design methods in problem framing and opportunity identification, early-stage experimentation, feasibility development, growth and exit. Also run ideation workshops to identify promising technologies and research at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, evaluate market potential, and foster projects and new ventures with researchers, scientists, students, and alumni interested in exploring the opportunity. Teaching assistant for Professor Craig Wortmann's Entrepreneurial Selling course. Teaches students how to acquire customers, use selling skills in different contexts, tell powerful stories, manage the entrepreneurial sales process, and use the key tools required for success in selling.

Member of the HydraStats team that developed a new non-invasive diagnostic device to allow real-time monitoring of an individual's hydration level using saliva. The technology came out of the University of Chicago Chemistry Department, lead by Professor Rustem Ismagilov.Our team competed and was a finalist in the New Venture Challenge hosted by University of Chicago Booth School of Business and was awarded $10,000 in start-up funds, winning the Mitsubishi International Award and the DaimlerChrysler Innovation Award.
