As a product and domain expert, I helped companies in commercial and enterprise segments navigate the complex technology landscape when designing their digital customer experiences.

Designed and built Datica’s public brand, through the website, email, print, trade shows and events, video, podcasting, and even books. Worked on UX insights for Datica’s HIPAA-Compliant Cloud product team. Created a variety of web-based solutions for interactive experiences, architected content management solutions and workflows, and conducted training & skill-building workshops. Executed on our content marketing strategy (high volume, many unique web features) that helped Datica successfully raise Series B rounds as a startup and grow from $1m-$5m in annual revenue.

At HealthSparq, I design & help develop the visual layer for our front-end team. I play the role of a general-purpose UX designer, and so may be used at any stage in design or development, from concept validation to whiteboarding, through wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. I have focused my work in three areas: The first is creating a pattern library platform for documentation, integration with the front-end team, visual exploration using real code, and basic prototyping. The first was built using Jade and Foundation, and had fairly basic interactivity. The second is being rewritten from the ground up using Ember, and will include versioning and integrate directly with the front-end teams' stack.The second is acting as a full-service designer/developer for our marketing team. I built and launched the new healthsparq.com on a highly customized Statamic CMS. My main contributions here were to the project discovery process, content strategy and modeling, workflow development, training, back & front-end development, and initial hosting setup. An outside agency was used for the brand development, but as the first product with the new brand, quite a lot of visual exploration was done to embody the new brand launch.The third area of focus for me at HealthSparq has been an ongoing series of design and UX education through presentations and other documentation. As the first dedicated designer hired at HealthSparq, there has been an enormous demand for design thinking and a need for design education in the context of our objectives. This is done by expanding our weekly internal design demos to educate on topics such as animation, color theory, typography, responsive and mobile design. As a part of my regular UX design tasks, I strive to use the right tool for the job at hand: whiteboarding, paper prototyping, Keynote for animations, HTML prototyping, and tools like InVision, Axure, and UXPin to create useful, testable prototypes.
