• Effectively manage and supervise five Food Service Officers and a team of inmate employees • Expertly manage and supervise the efficient and profitable operation of food service in support of 2400 daily meals in institutional food preparation and food service• Ensure universal knowledge of the principles and practice of dietetics, nutrition, and dietary requirements.• Able to analyze food management operations and evaluate needs and improvements to work processes.• Utilize computers to procure inventory, merchandise, monitor stock levels and usage, account for expenditures, maintain inventory records and generate cost analysis reports• Direct, financial controls, proper procedures for service outlet management, and supervise audits of institution records• Lead, train, and coach employees in the work rules, methods, and procedures.• Share leadership and decision-making responsibilities with subordinate supervisors to build a high performing team in institutional food service • Implement work methods, processes, and practices identified in conjunction with the senior leadership in order to maintain efficient operations• Ensure all state standards are met and maintained on a daily basis, including daily inventory replenishment, expenditure integrity, and production of food goods• Effectively communicate state standards to employees to improve service and increase productivity• Coach, train and develop employees informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback
