Current• Refined KIPP Massachusetts STE vision to align with three student-centered core principles and the Next Generation Science Standards • Led biweekly professional development during department meetings to develop teachers’ knowledge of science specific pedagogical practices such as phenomenon-based learning and the evidence-based reasoning framework• Lead on curriculum (Amplify Science, Project Lead the Way, OpenSciEd, Code.org) for fifteen STE courses while implementing and supporting teachers on the use of Illuminate Education to administer assessments, leading to improve efficiency and stronger data analysis practices• Coached and evaluated MS & HS STE teachers on the DESE Classroom Teacher Rubric, Strong Start Observation Tool, and/or Lynch Leadership Academy Classroom Observation Tool on a biweekly basis• Provided more intensive coaching support for our newer teachers by model teaching, co-teaching, co planning lessons, real-time in classroom coaching, and implementing progress monitoring practices• Built, managed, and maintained connections with various external partners such as Mass Learning Project, Harvard Medical Science Program, Springpoint, General Electric NEXT Engineers Discovery
