Wildlife Care Technician Ii
CurrentPerform day-to-day care for a collection of non-releasable native wildlife, including indoor and outdoor exhibit maintenance, cleaning, feeding, diet development and preparation, medicine administration, enrichment and training. Monitor and record the behavior and health of each animal. Develop and maintain training and enrichment plans for captive animals. Manage and mentor Wildlife Care interns in all aspects of animal husbandry, bird of prey handling and visitor education. Provide guidance and supervision for volunteers and Naturalists while interacting with the animals. Assist in developing and presenting educational programs involving the animal collection. Interact with and aid visitors while on grounds.
