A former land use planner, Allison has three decades of experience with nonprofit organizations and government agencies dedicated to land use planning, housing and community development, and land conservation. As a staff member, executive director, nonprofit board member, and consultant, Allison has broad experience in organizational assessment, strategy and planning, fundraising, board governance, stakeholder engagement processes, and collaboration and mergers. She is a regular trainer at conferences nationwide.Allison holds an MS in environmental studies with a focus on land use planning from the University of Montana and a BA in philosophy from Williams College. She has served on the boards of Growing Gardens, a Portland-based food justice nonprofit; the National Community Land Trust Network (now Grounded Solutions Network); and the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project.Specialties: Strategy, Governance, Collaboration and Merger.
