I didn't go into college knowing exactly what I wanted to study. I randomly selected biochemistry because, well, I had to pick something! Eventually I found myself studying biological engineering. Even though I found a major, I was still lost in terms of a career.Through the over 6 years of my employment as an engineer, I have realized what I love is solving real-world logistical problems. I love figuring out how components should work TOGETHER to solve an issue. Need a software architecture design? I'll excel. Need to understand how current systems function and their pitfalls? I'm on it. The common factor of these tasks is the interaction of complex components to solve a larger problem. This is what I love.I am a self-taught programmer with, now, over 3 years of experience. I have a background in systems engineering working with various complex Navy systems. I am extremely determined and ready to take on any challenge thrown my way. TLDR: Experienced software and systems engineer with degree from Virginia Tech.
