As a educator, I strive to create a nurturing environment that fosters a growth mindset in my students. I believe in setting high standards and encouraging goal-setting to help my students reach their full potential. With ten years of experience teaching second, third, and Exceptional Students with IEPs, I have honed my skills in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.I served as Team Lead for three consecutive years; I have experience organizing and leading team meetings focused on curriculum, assessments, and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). I have also played a key role in developing, supporting, and modeling a positive team climate. In addition, I have actively supported school-wide and district-wide initiatives, assisted in the hiring process for new staff, and collaborated closely with Instructional Coaches, Exceptional Student Education Specialists, and Support Staff members to promote a cohesive and supportive educational environment.I have strong leadership skills through mentoring several new teachers, hosting student teachers, and supervising practicum teachers. I take pride in providing guidance and support to educators new to the profession. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to help them excel in their teaching careers.Lastly, as the math contact for Floranda Elementary School, I have been an active participant in district-wide math meetings, ensuring I stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in math education. I have played a pivotal role in assisting teachers in implementing new math curriculum and resources, providing guidance and support to ensure effective integration in the classroom. Additionally, I have facilitated meetings to effectively convey important information and valuable resources to the teaching staff, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.
