Owner, Allison Stewart Studio. I have over thirty years experience in creative pursuits; painting, drawing, printmaking, and exhibiting professionally in galleries and museums across the country. After several years in the field of biological research, I returned to the academic world to earn a Masters of Fine Art degree and have been painting professionally since 1980. I also have experience in teaching painting, drawing and professional workshops in the fine arts field. My paintings reside in the area between realism and abstraction and my intent is not to represent nature, but to convey the uneasy balance between man and nature and to create a personal response to a world in a state of flux.
