University of Iowa Make-A-Wish Chapter President2017-2018 Academic Year135 MembersI was accountable for developing and presenting all Executive and General Meeting content for members and board members, as well as meeting and corresponding with Make-A-Wish® National board members. After being elected president at a difficult crossroads for Wishmakers, I was faced with the task of reviving the Chapter with myself as the only returning member on the leadership council. Our board was able to increase membership by over 600 percent and replace or improve all outdated materials in just 6 months. We successfully planned a large-scale Spring event to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish® Iowa as well as involve the Iowa City community in our efforts to grow our organization and extend our reach beyond University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff.
