LNRMC is a 132 bed customer service satisfaction oriented hospital serving the Mooresville and greater Lake Norman area. My responsibilities include bedside nursing in the area of Women's Services. The scope of that care covers L&D, Newborn Nursery, Postpartum, and Post-op Surgical clients. L&D consist of 6 private labor suites, centralized electronic fetal monitoring well as bedside computer charting capabilities an Operating Room/Recovery suite. Postpartum care incorporates the care of mother, infant and family, assessing and meeting physical, emotional, and educational needs. I work in tandem with MD and Certified Nurse Midwives. 1996 to 2003, NC Home School Educator, Huntersville NC As a home educator, I successfully created an educational environment in my home to comply with and meet NC state regulations governing Private /Home education to meet the individual educational and character development of my 3 sons. Participated and served in leadership role for the local support group as well as chaired a committee to rewrite bylaws for our local Home educators support group.

My responsibilities included caring for the child bearing female and infant as well as to the extended family unit, meeting physical, emotional and educational needs. My role as Clinical Instructor included the supervision and evaluation of students through the stages of maternity care starting in an ante partum clinic setting and following through to labor; delivery, maternal postpartum, and new born care, as well as leadership practicum.
