Allison Baron is a results-oriented PR veteran with 10-plus years of industry experience. Her expertise lays in uncovering interesting story ideas to get clients coverage not only month after month, but year after year. She specializes in strategic media relations, developing integrated PR and marketing campaigns, generating brand awareness, and establishing clients as credible thought leaders and expert authorities in their given fields. Prior to joining the award-winning team at Touchdown PR, she worked at TOP Global / PR Hacker / National Today in the company’s Austin office headquarters and was an integral part of the multi-disciplinary agency’s leadership team during a period of tremendous growth and transition. Previously, she worked at boutique public relations firm Brenda Thompson Communications for nearly seven years where she honed her skills, earned numerous promotions, and took on increased responsibilities over the years. During her tenure at Brenda Thompson Communications, Allison served as the director of the Austin office and worked on all of the firm’s clients. In addition, she directly managed several client accounts and supervised an administrative assistant and contract labor.Serving clients large and small, in industries as varied as healthcare technology to entertainment and hospitality, Allison's creativity and roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic have contributed greatly to her clients' success over the years. A woman who knows how to wear many hats, Allison has a multi-faceted understanding of public relations and has performed a wide variety of functions in her professional communication endeavors. Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Allison earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Texas State University-San Marcos, where she graduated summa cum laude and was involved in various student organizations. Allison currently serves as a member of the Women Communicators of Austin and the Austin chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is also a founding member of The Trail Foundation's Redbud Circle. In her spare time, she enjoys live music, gardening, DIY projects, paddle boarding on Town Lake, and traveling.
