What do anthropology and dance have in common? I was asked this all too often when I was in undergrad. Fortunately, I had an answer to that: "How people interact in space and time." Today, as a data geek in the higher education advancement field, I've had the opportunity to demonstrate how true this is. Data represents people and opportunity; it shows us how the environment impacts the way people choose to give their time, their skills and their financial support. I recently entered a role with Anthology as an Implementation Consultant for their new fundraising CRM, Raise. Already, I am excited about the potential that this product could bring to the philanthropic space. The work I did at Muhlenberg College for over six and a half years, of which I am a proud alumna, helped my team to make decisions about which prospects and volunteers were ready to be engaged, how successful our alumni and fundraising events were, and how we as a department can support and appreciate the work of all of our teams and, ultimately, our institution. Analyst by day, poet by night, occasional dancer, avid reader, amateur sommelier, and outdoor-adventurer. Always working to improve myself so I can someday help to improve the world. Be kind, be well.
