Conservation Liaison, Marketing
I led marketing efforts at Conserv, a preservation technology start-up that offers cultural heritage collections a comprehensive platform for environmental monitoring, including bespoke preventive conservation hardware and software. As a conservation liaison and member of the growth team, I helped build connections with the cultural heritage community. I met with collections professionals at museums, libraries, galleries, archives and other institutions to learn how they currently perform environmental monitoring, and what kind of environmental monitoring and IPM systems they dream about having. I drew upon my years of real-world experience with data loggers, pest management, and other preventive conservation challenges to provide informed support for each customer’s individual situation, and contribute to Conserv’s product development. As marketing leader, I was responsible for building brand recognition and credibility, lead generation, and lead nurturing. I oversaw numerous brand, product and content marketing activities. These included planning, hosting and presenting regular webinars, managing partnerships and conferences, company messaging, website updates, blog coordination, editorial calendar maintenance, marketing emails, and a monthly newsletter. I also managed a complex device trade-in program, and especially loved developing and implementing quarterly awards for funding preventive conservation projects.
