Selected to join the Women’s Impact Alliance Unlock Your Leadership program for young women leaders in social change. As part of The Women’s Impact Alliance we are working together to build the new world and a new generation of women leaders.

I served as a member of the Programs and Impact team and support the success of the programs delivered by CollegeSpring. In this role, I developed and oversaw key components of CollegeSpring programs such as implementation, quality, learning and training of Programs Staff, Instructors and Mentors. Key initiatives were the development of a coaching program and program materials, teacher training, best practices and codification of the program model. Additionally, I served as a national team member who is responsible for coaching others to achieve their goals.

Led the regional programs team by managing Programs Managers in support of a portfolio of CollegeSpring program sites. Along with the regional Executive Director and other regional staff members, I ensured high levels of program quality and fidelity, steward and retain current partners, and supported the Executive Director in developing new partnerships. I represented CollegeSpring to external stakeholders, including principals, teachers, mentors, and students. I was responsible for the operational success of the Greater New York City area, ensuring the region achieves its goals related to student service and impact. Developed and maintained all related documents and presentations to program including but not limited to on-boarding, data, analytics, training materials and curriculum updates. I worked with all staff to provide logistical support to larger events that disseminate the content to programs teams. Responsible for support curriculum director to develop and refine frameworks, implementation one-pagers, planning/presenting templates and materials that resulted in cohesive regional work. Led the professional development of mentor groups and refined practices for mentor component of the program model.

Supported a portfolio of 7 program sites and served be the primary CollegeSpring liaison to administrators, teachers, mentors, and students within the portfolio. Managed all aspects of program delivery, including implementation and troubleshooting, ensuring program quality and fidelity, conducting site visits, managing relationships with school stakeholders, training and managing site-based staff, and data collection, entry, and analysis.

I supported the development of comprehensive ReadNYC school plans for school year 2017-18 across the six public elementary schools that are part of the ReadNYC Mott Haven neighborhood network. I played a lead role in curriculum and plan development as well as program implementation design. Throughout my time I joined planning meetings with school leaders and members of ReadNYC’s UWNYC Initiative management team to co-create a variety of tools, templates and other materials to capture the collective impact strategy of ReadNYC and support the strengthening of the ReadNYC overarching plan. This work involved significant research, planning and writing and is an opportunity to help shape a groundbreaking approach to supporting culturally relevant, equity-centered literacy improvement, and two-generation success through engagement of students and parents simultaneously in mutually-reinforcing and aligned actions and curriculum development.

Managed student caseload of 500+ students between Irvington and Orange public schools by providing ongoing academic support to students along with financial, career, and personal counseling that results in students setting clear goals and strengthening individual student learning strategies and skills. Coordinated resources and support services for graduate interns to utilize during academic support sessions and to share with parents of scholars. Served as liaison by ensuring the dissemination of key information among schools and campus staff, school constituents, mentors, teachers, family and community partners.

Planned and directed school activities related to student services and collaborated with school principal to observe and coach teachers. Supported staff with admissions, health services, instructional capacity, social programs for students and met with families to discuss student progress and supports. Served as a point of information for students and responding to students' needs.

Assisted Campus Director in developing 8 full-time Teaching Fellows, 6 part-time Team Leaders, and 50+ volunteers through ongoing observation and feedback and served as a campus educator for two school campuses. Provided classroom coaching and feedback support to staff and ensured that weekly lesson planning was completed and reviewed. Developed and maintained strong relationships with staff of the host school, attend key meetings of teaching, guidance and administrative staff and maintain math/ELA or other priority achievement focus in order to support students’ academic development. Established effective family engagement and communication strategies amongst school personnel and families to ensure school administration, teachers, and students are on one accord.

11th Grade High School English Language Arts teacher: Planned and executed a series of after-school workshops for more than 100 students focusing on youth development, sexual education, college admissions process, team building, resume building, and self-esteem. Advisory class teacher of sophomore and senior classes, create curriculum based off of youth development, health and fitness, cultural and diversity awareness, college prep, and job readiness topics.
