I started Social Wave Media in May 2014 when I noticed that small businesses weren't making the best use out of social media. We found that more often than not, this was down to lack of time, lack of money or lack of understanding. As a user of social media, I have an innate understanding of a variety of platforms. I like to just onto new platforms as early as they arrive and test the waters, learning about why people use them and how brands can use them. Since starting Social Wave, I have had the pleasure of working with a men's fashion brand, a non-profit, an online media outlet and a range of other businesses to help reach their audience through social media.As well as managing social media, I have created a range of Wordpress-based websites, perfect for small businesses and startups, at incredible valuable prices. As part of this, I have self-taught SEO, HTML and CSS. To be able to offer a complete digital marketing solution, I have also gained experience in email marketing and have helped brands build their email list and generate profit.

Working in a fast paced office environment is something I have experience in. In my previous role as a Material Co-Ordinator I was under lots of pressure to meet deadlines and to provide information to many different people to enable myself, and others, to perform their jobs. I was responsible for all of my own filing and organizing documents (electronic or paper copies) as well as photocopying and emailing documents to the necessary people or departments. I have had extensive use of excel and have learnt many new features, including the use of more advanced formulae to make tasks easier.
