In the last sixteen years Robert Hall has become one of the most popular and prolific special effects makeup artists in Hollywood. Hall and his studio, Almost Human, have been responsible for creating some of the most horrifying and photo-realistic effects work in film and television.Hall's creatures were featured weekly the phenomenally successful cult series’ Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and currently MTV’s Smash Teen Wolf. Robert Hall and his Almost Human Inc has created FX makeup for films such as The Crazies, Devil, Vacancy, Super Bad, Prom Night, Pineapple Express, Paranormal Activity 2, and Quarantine. In 2005 Hall made his writing and directorial feature film debut with Lightning Bug starring Laura Prepon (That 70's Show). The semi-autobiographical tale won several top awards at film festivals and was distributed courtesy of Starz Home Entertainment.Robert Hall’s sophomore directing endeavor Laid To Rest was released By Starz/Anchor Bay on April 21st 2009 and starred Lena Headey (300), and Thomas Dekker. The film graced the cover of Fangoria Magazine and has been hailed as having some of the “Most Realistic Kills Ever”.In 2009 Robert Hall directed the web series “FEAR CLINIC” for FearNet and starring Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) It has since become the “Most watched Horror Web Series In History” with almost 4 million hits and is currently in the process of being made into a feature film with Hall directing.Most recently Hall wrote and directed ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 starring Brain Austin Green (Deperate Housewives), Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm St), Gail O’ Grady (NYPD BLUE), and Owain Yeoman (The Mentalist). The film was released by IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT on Sept 20 2011.Hall has directed music videos for the bands Drivin N’ Cryin, Buckcherry, Powerman 5000, and In This Moment.
