With a background in sustainability, architecture, and city planning, my professional goal is to find a way to make cities healthier, happier, and more sustainable for both people and the environment. My experience spans the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Currently, I work as a Program Manager with StopWaste, advancing energy efficiency and climate action throughout Alameda County. As a Planner with Dyett & Bhatia Urban and Regional Planners, I worked on various long-range planning projects for public agencies throughout California. As an Assistant Planner with the City of Piedmont, my main responsibilities included design reviews and overseeing Piedmont's energy, water, and housing policies. I completed my Master of City Planning degree at the University of California, Berkeley, concentrating in Environmental Planning and Policy, in May 2015. Before transitioning to a focus on policy and city planning, I worked at the U.S. Green Building Council as an Associate in the LEED department. I focused on rating system development and maintenance, specializing in Materials & Resources. I received my LEED AP BD+C credential in April 2012. In 2011, I received a BA in Environmental Studies with a second concentration in Architectural Studies from Brown University.
