- Monitor the Country Business Plan implementation and portfolio performance – Ecuador 2600 m USD$, Venezuela 1500m USD$– ensuring coordination with project teams and governments for undertaking corrective actions, as well as led and participated in Country Portfolio Review Missions.- Advise and assist the Regional Operational Advisor and the General Manager on strategic planning and management processes, country programming, lending and grant instruments, and development effectiveness issues.- Identify areas and opportunities for co-finance collaboration between the Bank and other international Agencies and lead the daily client management. In 2016 succeed leveraging US$25 million with the Korean Fund for an energy project.- Lead the preparation of the Country Programming Document (CPD) for Ecuador and Venezuela and supervised its implementation.- Review operational documents such as project documents and Sector Framework Documents, for consistency with Country Strategy, country considerations and Bank policies, as well as with a view toward maintaining overall portfolio quality; provide advice on these issues to the Senior Management.- Develop and review reports, briefings and analytic documents for the Department.- Serve as Sector Lead Point at the Department for the Integration and Trade Department overseeing and coordinating the work in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.- Coordinate and participate on official Programming missions with Ecuador and Venezuela governments for negotiating the annual Operational Lending Program, and update missions as necessary.- Assure communication between Ecuador and Venezuela Country Offices and HQ, guaranteeing alignment with strategic country and corporate priorities, and maintaining senior management and country team abreast of economic, politic and sector issues
