I have been working in the education field for 6 years working with students of varying ages and educational needs by providing direct instruction in the areas of reading, writing and math for students in grade k-8th. Additionally, I have over 5 years of experience teaching Sonday 1, SIPPS, Expressive Writing, TouchMath, and handwriting without tears. I am looking to expand my experience and hopefully be able to teach math direct instruction in the classroom as well. Along with managing my classroom and groups, I also progress monitor, make sure teachers follow accommodations in the gen Ed settings, and collaborate on a daily basis with all members. On top of teaching, collaboration, and progress monitoring, I am also experienced working with students who may display social-emotional challenging behaviors. PBIS (positive behavior intervention support) is a great program that I like to follow. more importantly, building positive relationships with my students, is a huge win for me. I love interacting with my students daily and watching them grow into such amazing individuals.
