Since I began in education, I have always been passionate about being the person I needed when I was younger. As a Paraprofessional, I took the time to learn what the staff and students required. My primary concern was to make the classroom teacher’s job easier by making copies, running small groups, and taking over instruction when needed. When I was a Spanish Teacher, I had the chance to make a difference in the lives of all of my students. That consisted of me collaborating with my team to create dynamic lessons that integrated technology to ignite the love of learning a new language. Finally, as an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher, I was driven to support the teachers and students in my building. When teachers needed anything from technical support to a second opinion on a lesson, I was available for them. This philosophy has taken me far in working towards a better future for my students and colleagues. I am excited to continue supporting education in my current role.
