The Assistant Dean focuses on the application of policies and compliance as it relates to student degree progress throughout their course of study up to graduation. The Assistant Dean supports the academic operations team, staff, and faculty by providing direct advising, guidance and support to students regarding policies and compliance as it pertains to the Office of Academic Affairs and Compliance processes and individual student cases. Specifically, the Assistant Dean focuses on:● Upholding and implementing academic regulations and compliance associated with minimum academic standards, degree progress, and student enrollment status as reflected in SCS compliance documents.● Provide case management and support to students, faculty, and staff on complex issues in the areas of compliance and policy reflected in the SCS compliance documents.● Oversight, management, and execution of the graduation and clearance process, credential posting, Commencement Book, and diploma ordering for all SCS degree granting programs and credit-bearingcertificates.● Committee participation and engagement on Academic Affairs appeals committees and on compliance related University councils and committees where appropriate.
