Working at an International Baccalaureate (I.B.) World School provides opportunities to expand my use of inquiry and reflection in my teaching. I am highly energetic, engaging and student focused. I use inquiry based activities and projects to guide students in their learning. Through inquiry, my students learn to think beyond the obvious and look at other possibilities using the knowledge gained in class. Awesome!Reflection is also a principle that I value so my students reflect either formally or informally each day. My students are very engaged in their learning because through guided reflection, they make connections to their learning in other classes and bring this knowledge with them to enhance their learning in my class. Awesome! The students' enduring understanding that develops as a result of inquiry and reflection, is what makes my job so amazing!My ultimate dream job is to educate future teachers how to successfully engage and teach middle level students.
