Amanda E. Kyle BSN, RN, C-EFMAmanda Kyle is currently enrolled in the Health Leadership Master’s Degree Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Wheeling University (formerly Wheeling Jesuit University) in 2014. Her clinical nursing career began in November of 2014 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. While there, she worked as a medical/surgical nurse within an array of different fields in kidney and liver transplant, bariatric surgery, post-operative telemetry, and step-down units. In January of 2017, she transitioned to a new role as a Clinical Nurse 2 at University Hospitals MacDonald Women’s Hospital Float Pool. Promoting from entry level, she specialized in women’s health focusing on high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, patient advocacy, and Baby-Friendly care plans and transitions. With increasing proficiencies in her clinical nurse role, alongside extracurricular positions as a primary preceptor, charge nurse and chair in the MacDonald House Magnet Council, in March 2021, she advanced the clinical ladder to a Clinical Nurse 3 promotion.In April of 2021, she ventured to Philadelphia, PA and is currently employed full time at Penn Medicine Pennsylvania Hospital as a clinical nurse on Labor and Delivery unit. In April 2023, she advanced the clinical ladder to a Clinical Nurse 3 promotion highlighting her work in the Perinatal Evaluation Triage Unit (PETU) and implementing new revisions and clinical applications for improved postpartum hemorrhage and adverse risk outcomes. Amanda is certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, AWHONN member, and currently is a member in two shared governance councils, Nurse Practice Council and Core PETU Improvement Committee, representing her unit.
