About Amanda Loveless

I am a post doctoral research assistant in the BioElectrics and ElectroPhysics (BEEP) Lab at Purdue University in the School of Nuclear Engineering. My PhD work focused on electron emission and gas breakdown from nanoscale to microscale, focusing on unifying emission mechanisms in these regions. My post-doctoral work includes extending my PhD work to incorporate a magnetic field to better understand CFA devices, assessing electron emission due to an AC pulse rather than a DC voltage, and developing a theoretical model to incorporate electroporation effects into membrane potential calculations for various applied electric pulses to predict effects on action potentials in nerves.
