Hi! I’m Amanda, a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Florida, pursuing a degree in Health Sciences with the aspiration of becoming a Physician Assistant. Currently, I work as a Patient Care Assistant at UF Health Shands, primarily on a Medical-Surgical unit. My role has afforded me the invaluable opportunity to also gain experience across various specialized units, including Intermediate Care, Blood Marrow Transplant, and Neurology.Throughout my time here, I have been committed to delivering direct patient care with compassion and empathy, aiming to provide the highest standard of care to a diverse patient population. I am deeply passionate about creating a supportive and safe environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns.I am eager to deepen my understanding of the Physician Assistant role through shadowing opportunities and further practical experiences.
