Test products to ensure all requirements are met before they are released to consumers. Some tests performed are pH, titrations, identification tests, osmolality, viscosity, and other wet chemistry techniques.Other tests performed use instruments such as HPLC, IR, UV/VIS, AA, and TOC to determine quantitative information.Responsibilities include:checking the analytical balance daily, collection of water for TOC composition bi-weekly, Calibrating pH meter, and checking co-workers books after completion of all testing.

Chemistry Department

Assisted professors in preparing for class by copying paperwork/tests/quizzes.Directed departmental phone calls to proper channels such as professors or chairwoman of the department.Provided help to students in the department about class scheduling, important deadlines, and classroom locations.Delivered inter-office mail on campus to and from the Chemistry Department.Prepared fliers for departmental seminars and events, filed student and departmental paperwork, maintained supply stockroom and helped order supplies.Kept a professional work environment and worked side-by-side with the head secretary in preparing for departmental banquet by preparing invitations, guest list, and record keeping.
