"What will you do with your one wild and precious life?" -Mary OliverI'm still working on the answer to this question. How about you? I've had so many chapters, and I know that I'm not done yet. I'm curious about everything, and curiosity is what allows us to grow and learn, and ultimately, to become the best versions of ourselves.Currently, I am a small business owner. My communications company, State Might Communications, is the umbrella for many things including public speaking, media training, coaching, and consulting. But my passion project in 2024 has been to create a podcast called AGELESS: Opening Doors with Amanda Lamb. I have spent the past year diving into the lives of incredible women who share their transformation stories, both professional and personal, in a very real and vulnerable way. For more than thirty years, I lived in front of the camera as a television news reporter. I've covered everything from hurricanes to homicides, but crime reporting was my specialty. My goal has always been to report every story with compassion, insight and integrity. Journalism has given me a magic carpet ride on the coattails of so many adventures that have shaped the way I see the world and interact with the people I've been so humbled to meet and interview.In 2007, I published my first book and haven't stopped writing since that time. To date, I have published three true crime books, four memoirs (three about parenting, one about caregiving), two children's books and a fictional thriller series which includes three books. I have another mystery on the way in 2025.I'm an engaging and enthusiastic public speaker who is available to talk on a variety of topics including life transformation, women's empowerment, media, writing, crime reporting, and caregiving. I recently developed a workshop which goes along with my AGELESS podcast where I help women at any age see that they deserve a seat at any table.So, back to the question, what am I going to do with my one wild and precious life?
