• Build strategic partnerships with multiple levels of leadership to provide advice, consultation, and guidance in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, compensation and benefits, and administration of all HR policies.• Maintain up to date knowledge of legal requirements in both US and Canada related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance.• Collaborate with leadership team to manage and resolve complex employee relation issues, conducting internal investigations as required.• Advise and counsel leadership team on performance management issues. Review performance improvement plans, formal disciplinary documents, and provide recommendations to management. Support and participate in all disciplinary discussions.• Provide on-going guidance and oversight on annual performance and salary review process.• Full cycle recruiting responsibilities for exempt and non-exempt roles in US and Canada. • Administer FMLA, medical, and personal leaves and collaborate with front line supervisors to develop viable solutions on return-to-work plans and staffing needs.• Leverage workforce analytics and insights to provide strategic consultation to leadership on short term and long-term staffing needs. • Partner with Benefits and Compensation to develop and execute US and Canadian compensation strategies and plans to attract new employees and reward existing team members.
