A hardworking, high energy manager, I currently support the operations of 7 exciting venues in the hospitality/entertainment space alongside running my own entertainment booking agency, In The Shade Entertainment.After spending 14 years at sea both as a performer and as an Entertainment Director for Carnival Cruise Line, I have relocated to Sydney, Australia. Here I have had the opportunity to work for a powerhouse of a company in Funlab; a bold company out to make their mark in out-of-home entertainment with which I have happily been challenged every day to reach higher.In The Shade Entertainment provides high-quality entertainers for corporate clients. A passion project of mine, I work with a highly curated and diverse roster of entertainers and pride the company on being genuine and transparent, striving to make the best possible match between artist and client. Regardless of where I’m managing, it always comes down to the same things that light my fire. Firstly, I am fascinated by the day-to-day of putting together an entertainment product. It is a giant puzzle, a puzzle in which not all of the pieces always fit together perfectly, but that’s what makes it interesting, exciting, and fun! Most days I feel like the conductor of a crazy, ever-changing orchestra and it is definitely my jam. Secondly, I love being able to provide guidance and support for my team to be rock stars on the front line. There is nothing more fulfilling than to play a part, no matter how large or small, in someone’s success and growth. And last but certainly not least, I love that my teams are a source of joy for our guests; a source of laughter, wonderment, surprise, and discovery. That’s what good entertainment is all about and what makes all the hard work worth it.
