Planning and executing all aspects of special event planning for the YWCA Metro Vancouver’s premier fundraising event the Women of Distinction Awards (WODA) and other special events for 100-1,200+ guests.Roles and Responsibilities for WODA:◾ Prospecting and securing sponsors for WODA, while maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing sponsors. Secured a Tribute Sponsor at the $10,000 level and in-kind sponsors.◾ Coordinating senior level volunteers for two key committee of WODA: Nominations and Auction Committees.◾ Creating event collateral materials, including a 56-page event program, sponsorship package, e-blasts, advertisements, and social media content using InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva. ◾ Assisting the Special Events Manager to edit nominee headshots using Photoshop.◾ Managing WODA social media platforms to encourage nominations, profile Award recipients, and promoting the event.◾ Managing silent and live auction, while developing strategies for solicitation of in-kind donations. Secured over $20,000 in-kind donations for the auctions.◾ Entering data entry in Raiser’s Edge event module for ticketing, donor and guest tracking.◾ Supporting the Special Events Manager in all aspects of the event.Other Roles and Responsibilities:◾ Planning and launching YWCA's Project Y program in 2020. Held the first speaker panel in January 2020, at SAP, to discuss using tech to eliminate workplace biases. ◾ Planning and launching YWCA’s first ever Y Dance-A-Thon (a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign) virtually, which raised over $50,000.◾ Using Raiser’s Edge to create event ticket purchasing forms, manage event modules, and keep donor profile up-to-date. ◾ Planning and coordinating committee efforts for select third-party fundraising events for YWCA, including creating and mailing invitations, tracking RSVPs, managing auction and raffle items, day-of-event coordination, and post-event reconciliation.

◾ Prepared artwork files for print, web, and physical assets to support technical documentation and promotional material. ◾ Took initiative to create the company’s first corporate brochure.◾ Coordinated regional, national, and global trade shows with budgets of over $100,000.◾ Responsible for project planning, executing of pre-show tasks, budgeting, show services and logistics, marketing collateral, lead management, designing and updating booth set up, and managing vendor relations.◾ Managed day-to-day website maintenance and worked with external vendors for development of the current website.◾ Created and implemented social media marketing campaigns and content to increase the company’s social media presence, increasing overall followers by 40%.◾ Created the company’s Instagram account, increasing followers by 400%.◾ Maintained corporate information including marketing promotional materials, brand guidelines, event calendar, event and event properties.◾ Updated and created technical literature including installation guides, specification sheets, product drawings, and other printed and electronic material◾ Assisted in maintaining the marketing operations plan, including budgeting, asset management, and analytics across social media, web, and media.◾ Supported the sales organization by coordinating event materials and providing marketing materials to the global sales organization.

◾ Intern for YWCA Women of Distinction Awards◾ Managed Women of Distinction Awards (WODA) social media platforms to promote the event and encourage voting prior to the event.◾ Developed and implemented social media campaigns to individually highlight nominee achievements by creating profile cards for each nominee to share across social media.◾ Simultaneously running social media contests on Facebook and Twitter.◾ Shared live posts on Twitter during the event, resulting in the event hashtag trending in Vancouver for the night.◾ Created artwork files for multiple event materials.◾ Assisted the Event Manager in creating the event program using InDesign.◾ Worked with the Silent Auction Advisory Committee in sourcing, acquiring and managing silent auction items.◾ Organized the placement, categorization, signage, and distribution of over 200 silent auctions at the event.◾ Obtained and coordinated over 80 volunteers: providing orientation and assigning tasks, teams, and break times.

◾ Implemented initiatives to promote BCITMA to the student body and recruit members to the association.◾ Sourced and acquired corporate premiums for new members.◾ Acted as a liaison between the members, executive board, and American Marketing Association (AMA).◾ Maintained and expanded an Excel database to effectively manage over 120 members and effectively track hours members have contributed to the association.◾ Managed communication with members through a members exclusive Facebook group and periodic emails.◾ Organized BCITMA’s first Christmas Toy Drive to collect toys and funds with all proceeds benefiting the BC Children’s Hospital.◾ Supported the Events committee by securing the Renaissance Hotel as a venue for BCITMA’s largest annual fundraiser - the 2015 fashion show.◾ Attended and participated in the annual AMA conference in New Orleans, by co-leading the efforts for the Exhibit Competition.

◾ Worked with the fashion show committee to develop a theme for the BCITMA’s largest annual fundraiser.◾ Sourced and acquired sponsors for the event, including Starbucks, Telus, and Lush Cosmetics.◾ Maintained an Excel database to effectively track current and potential sponsors for the event.
