As the command IUSS ICP technician, I provided the support, administration, and maintenance necessary to ensure effective, efficient, and continuous global maritime acoustic surveillance for Anti-Submarine Warfare (AWS) for the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) Integrated Common Processor (ICP) Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS) and the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS). These systems processed analog and digital data from global sensors for display, analysis, and dissemination to all naval vessels in the surveilled area. I was responsible for the integration of new software, testing, and analysis of the systems’ functions and security in addition to the maintenance and operation of all local hardware units· Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).· Mitigate/correct security deficiencies identified during security/certification testing and recommend risk acceptance for the appropriate senior leader or authorized representative· Perform daily server backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.· Managed shared drive access and security groups, privileged accounts, etc. As a technician works directly with system users to localize and isolate issues from the United Kingdoms and the United States, along with the Defense Information System Agency (DISA).· Proficient at installing, testing, and repairing fiber optic links, including termination of cables with connectors, evaluation of fiber polishing, and operation of specialized test equipment.· Adept at operating and maintaining communications security cryptographic equipment.

As the lead member of the miniature/microminiature module test and repair technician my primary responsibility was accurate and timely turn around of naval assets. As the Data Link Communications system technician, I managed the preventative and corrective maintenance for multiple HF/VHF/UHF units to maintain the interconnecting communications systems of the Common Data Link Management System. I was responsible for loading and maintaining the cryptographic interfaces of the joint tactical information distribution system that maintained Links secure, jam-resistant, digital data and voice communications among the authorized users. As an information systems technician for meteorological and oceanographic command I was tasked with computer system and hardware management. As a Communications Technician, I was responsible for the maintenance of all regular and emergency communications for Naval Air Station Ocean Master Jet Base, Dam Neck Annex, and Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Fentress.
