I was responsible for the integration of new software, testing, and analysis of the systems’ functions and security in addition to the maintenance and operation of all local hardware units· Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).· Mitigate/correct security deficiencies identified during security/certification testing and recommend risk acceptance for the appropriate senior leader or authorized representative· Perform daily server backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.· Managed shared drive access and security groups, privileged accounts, etc. As a technician works directly with system users to localize and isolate issues from the United Kingdoms and the United States, along with the Defense Information System Agency (DISA).· Proficient at installing, testing, and repairing fiber optic links, including termination of cables with connectors, evaluation of fiber polishing, and operation of specialized test equipment.· Adept at operating and maintaining communications security cryptographic equipment.
