Stennis, CAG Nine, and Commander Carrier Strike Group Three. - Employing state of the art technology, Facilities Control maintains more than 180 operational circuits in the frequency spectrums of HF, VHF, UHF LOS, UHF SATCOM, SHF, and EHF. - Main Communications is also responsible for reliable Internet Protocol (IP) services via satellite connections for 5,000+ users, boasting over 98% reliability. - The Message Processing Center team handles more than 2,000 messages a day through secure and non-secure local networks. - Leadership maintenance practices contributed to well above CVN average 3MI grade at 94.36% in April 2016.

The NROTC Program was established to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program fills a vital need in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps. Selected applicants for the NROTC Scholarship Program are awarded scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process.While enrolled in NROTC, participated in Navy and Marine Corps Drill Team, held position of Squad Leader three times, and led as a Platoon Commander for a semester. Also participated in Project Global Officer (GO) at the Language Acquisition Resource Center (LARC) while enrolled in school. This intensive 16-unit course is designed to teach practical language skills and cultural awareness. Students learned & expanded their four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing of the Persian language through conversations, games, written homework and Iranian movies. The Persian language is used in two styles of Literary and Colloquial, both of which were introduced from the beginning.
