*Manage day to day functions of Sub-Assembly through the entire value stream including external support.*Assure compliance with Quest quality systems (PC).*Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.*Interpret drawings and specifications, production schedules and assign work orders and duties to the assemblers.*Establish or adjust work procedures when necessary to meet production schedules and optimize work flow through the sub-assembly area ensuring sufficient resources are available to complete tasks in the time frame required.*Plan and execute all training required to enhance the skills and competency of department, and ensure that all personnel performing assemblies are properly trained, certified (when required), and meet the necessary quality standards.*Provide leadership for safety, loss prevention, and cost reduction activities.*Monitor and control tooling costs and to work within the approved budgets.*Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sub-assembly area, that all items or equipment are safely stored, and that all department personnel contribute towards the upkeep of their areas.*Ensure that there is an approved procedure for each activity and prepare and issue new or updated procedures as needed.*Work with Engineering Department, QC & QA Department to handle customer’s inspection and testing requirements.*Enhance and increase manufacturing performance and productivity improvement to support the mandated TAKT Time.*Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve problems.*Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning parts production requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.*Work with HR to hire, train, evaluate, discipline, discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
