Worked with Dr. Milman to analyze the implementation of California's 2014 Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.● Researched governance structures that had formed as a result of the legislation and created diagrams to outline intra-basin partnerships in Adobe Illustrator● Analyzed groundwater sustainability plans and worked with the research team to develop a coding scheme based on patterns to answer key research questions● Summarized legally-binding coordination agreements between agencies and created large datasets in Microsoft Excel to categorize agencies based on their choice of institutional structures (ie. decision-making bodies, voting rules, dispute resolution mechanisms)● Developed flow charts and figures in Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator to highlight differences and similarities among decision-making groups ● Collaborated with the research team to draft a paper on how agency autonomy concerns may be addressed through choice of institutional structures

● Planned and facilitated bi-weekly review sessions for students enrolled in a specificclass, create worksheets to promote course review and address student questionsand concerns.● Participated in trainings every semester on topics as: pedagogy, learningtheory, diversity/inclusion, active learning, and informal assessment.● Served as a subject matter expert to peers and engage peers in active learningand comprehension of materials.● Implemented listening, effective presentation and instructional abilities, problemsolving and patience● Served as primary academic support for large lecture, foundational courses, such as Introductory Biology and Calculus II, which resulted in over 300 student visits per semester.

During the LEE-SIP program, I was able to perform undergraduate research. I worked in Dr. Milman's Lab on California's 2014 Sustainable Groundwater Act project. We looked at the methods in which local agencies evaluated groundwater data and compared that to their interpretations of the mandate and the quality of groundwater data that they had. I continued to work on this project in the upcoming school year and focus more on the coordination aspect of sustainable groundwater management.
