• Elected leader of the district’s top performing middle school’s local school governance team; presided over monthly meetings and, with the Principle, set meeting agendas.• Lead team through the development of school performance goals and strategic planning process including approving school budget, selecting new Principal, etc.

Advised local and national nonprofit organizations in strategic planning, social enterprise business development, marketing and communications strategy, partnership and collaboration development, and conference planning and execution.

• Oversaw the $2 million Shelter/Street to Home program, including forging new partner collaborations, wrote monthly reports and emergency relief plans, negotiated agency contracts, managed program budgets, and supervised bi-monthly meetings, site visits, and agency evaluations • Reenergized and redesigned the organization’s prison reentry programming, formed new partnerships with three local nonprofits, implemented five new reentry programs valued at over $75,000• Conceptualized and directed the creation of a hospital reentry program, collaborating with the largest public hospital in the country, which maintained 25 available beds and is valued at $100,000• Advanced community and corporate engagement by envisioning and managing numerous volunteer opportunities including pro-bono consulting, street outreaches, online newsletters and day long events

• Efficiently and effectively worked with employees to organize and plan the United Way workplace campaign, arranged guest speakers to be present at a company’s campaign events• Researched, cold called, and reactivated local companies, advocating for increased corporate gifts and company participation, leading to three companies to raise a total of $25,000 over goal

• Maintained contact with 1,000 offices and schools to foster participation and financial support • Developed strong relationships with Walkers/Team Leaders; increased Team resource use by 10%• Managed attendance of presentations, led brainstorming for presentations; radio/TV spokeswoman

• Conceived and authored an accepted grant proposal and budget; was awarded at $10,000 grant to build multiple water wells in villages where violence occurs due to water shortages.• Performed on the ground assessments of the project locations; managed over fifteen workers and volunteers, negotiated contracts, collaborated with chiefs, politicians, government officials• Worked with local community leaders to select, hire, and train workers on drilling techniques and organize several training sessions for local women on safe water hygiene practices
