Elevating student outcomes is the cornerstone of the work that I do. I am a passionate, data-driven educator. In addition to my teaching duties, I have sought out opportunities to develop other teachers and make a wider impact on student outcomes. In various roles, I have planned and executed coaching experiences and staff development for teachers. As a member of my school's Instructional Committee, I help schedule, develop and facilitate professional development sessions for a school staff of 45 teachers. So far, I have developed and led sessions on Math Performance Tasks, Creating Your Own Math Assessments, and Integrating Science and Literacy. In addition, I launched teacher workshops to create a Math Vocabulary Continuum for grades K-5 and a Response-to-Intervention digital resource center for my school. In 2014, I served as a Cohort Leader for Teach for America's Teaching as Leadership Fellowship where I facilitated learning sessions and coached fellows through the planning and execution of coaching experiences for new teachers. In 2013, I was a Fellow of the same program and was planning and executing coaching experiences based on an analysis of student outcomes.
